988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Asking for help can be the hardest step, but it’s also one of the most important. Whether you’re struggling or worried about someone you love, support is available, and finding it shouldn’t be confusing. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline connects you to trained professionals and volunteers across the United States, anytime, you can call or text 24 hours a day, 7 days week, 365 a year. Their biggest challenge is spreading awareness to the Lifeline. To help change that, SAD donates a portion of our proceeds to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Stay Another Day includes the “988” on every item. It’s there to remind you help is always available. Connecting with someone can help save your life, or a loved one.
WHAT TO EXPECT
When you call 988, you’ll be connected to your local crisis center. As you talk, they’ll ask a few questions to understand your situation and make sure you’re safe. If they believe you’re in immediate danger of harming yourself, they can send help to your location.
There’s nothing to fear when reaching out. The lifeline is there to listen, support you, and guide you. You can call for yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed, or you can call on behalf of someone you’re worried about. If you need help creating a plan to feel better, they’ll walk you through it.
You matter. If speaking up feels scary, this is a safe and confidential place to start. The 988 team can also connect you with additional resources to support your mental health. Asking for help is a powerful and courageous step.

Let's Break the stigma
Talking openly about mental health is one of the strongest ways to break the stigma. Our mission is to reach as many teens and young adults as possible, encouraging conversation and teaching them about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Mackenzie has spoken at numerous schools, and our surveys show that nearly 70% of students either hadn’t heard of 988 or learned something new during the presentation. This proves how important it is to keep educating young people and making mental health a normal, safe topic.
One of the fastest ways we spread awareness is by giving out shirts at schools. We’ve now created an option for Stay Another Day supporters to sponsor shirts for students. Your support helps us reach even more young people and continue ending the stigma around mental health on t-shirt at a time.
